The L.M. Wise Educational Preserve is located at 128th Avenue and 15th Street in Hopkins Township, Allegan County, Michigan.

Purpose:

The Hopkins Area Educational Foundation, administrator of the Wise Preserve, is entrusted to stimulate creative learning, to encourage civic involvement in education, and to expand facilities and services in support of the schools.


The Wise Preserve is used by school groups, the Hopkins High School cross-country team, scout troops, and the community. Anyone can enjoy hiking, cross country skiing, family picnics at the pavilion, watching wildlife, and more.

Owl Leslie the Wise Old Owl welcomes you to visit the L.M. Wise Preserve - any season of the year!

Our mascot is Les the Wise Old Owl, named after the late Leslie M. Wise, who deeded this tract of land to the Hopkins Public Schools in 1985.
